A 72-year-old woman was rescued after being trapped in her car with water up to her neck on the NSW Mid-North Coast yesterday as authorities respond to 1,200 calls for help.

The Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) says the most significant wet weather has moved offshore of the NSW coast, but a number of flood warnings remain in place.
