Australians must be asked to vote on a simple proposition for any chance of a Voice to Parliament to succeed, the Indigenous Australians Minister says, after a draft referendum question is released.

Indigenous Australians Minister Linda Burney says she is confident the nation is ready for a referendum to decide whether to establish an Indigenous Voice to Parliament.
