Instagram will soon test ultra-tall photos to match its full-screen reels - The Verge

Instagram plans to begin testing ultra-tall 9:16 photos “in a week or two,” according to CEO Adam Mosseri. The full-screen aspect ratio will allow images to receive the same emphasis as videos on the platform.
