Square Enix sold studios over concern Tomb Raider cannibalized other sales - Polygon

Square Enix told its investors of a two-phase plan to get back to financial health, saying it got rid of Eidos and Crystal Dynamics partly over concerns their games were cannibalizing sales from the main business in Japan.
